GHRP-2 10 mg
GHRP-2 is a six-amino-acid research peptide that activates the ghrelin receptor. It is studied in connection with growth-hormone release, appetite signals and communication between the brain and pituitary gland.
Why do researchers study GHRP-2?
Growth-hormone secretion
Human and laboratory studies measuring the pituitary GH response.
Appetite signals
Research into hunger, meal initiation and food intake through ghrelin-receptor activity.
Brain–pituitary communication
Studies of how hypothalamic and pituitary signals work together.
Secretagogue comparison
Research comparing GHRP-2 with natural ghrelin and GHRH-based peptides.
What is GHRP-2?
GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide, meaning it contains six amino-acid components. It was developed as a strong growth-hormone secretagogue.
The peptide activates GHSR-1a, the same receptor used by the natural hormone ghrelin. This explains why research examines both growth-hormone secretion and appetite.
Understanding the biological signal
Growth hormone is released through several interacting signals. GHRP-2 approaches this system through the ghrelin receptor rather than through the GHRH receptor.
Researchers use it to measure the size and timing of GH responses and to study the link between hormonal and appetite signals.
What have studies found?
Growth hormone and food intake
During controlled infusion, GHRP-2 markedly increased circulating growth hormone. Participants also consumed more food at a buffet meal than during saline infusion.
Appetite signal increased with dose
Research in lean and obese adults found a dose-dependent rise in hunger and food intake, demonstrating a measurable ghrelin-like response.
Appetite and body-weight monitoring
In children with growth-hormone deficiency, researchers tracked appetite and body weight during longer GHRP-2 exposure and observed an early increase in appetite.
Interaction with GHRH signalling
Human studies have used GHRP-2 to examine how ghrelin-receptor and GHRH-receptor signals combine within the growth-hormone system.

Product details at a glance
01Research areas⌄
GHRP-2 is studied in connection with growth-hormone release, appetite signalling and brain–pituitary communication.
02What the package contains⌄
One sealed laboratory vial containing 10 mg of freeze-dried GHRP-2 material, according to the selected product variant.
03Storage of the freeze-dried product⌄
Keep the sealed freeze-dried vial at −20 °C, dry and protected from light. Let the closed vial reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation.
04Handling a prepared laboratory solution⌄
After preparation with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated at 2–8 °C and protected from light. Do not freeze; minimize repeated warming and cooling.
05Why the vial can look almost empty⌄
10 mg is a small mass. After freeze-drying, the material can form a thin layer or compact deposit at the bottom of the vial and may appear smaller than expected.
Match the report to the vial
Available analytical results are organized by product and batch. Always compare the batch identifier in the report with the identifier on the vial label.
For laboratory and analytical research only. Not for human or veterinary use.
