Ipamorelin 10 mg
Ipamorelin is a five-amino-acid research peptide that activates the ghrelin receptor. It is studied mainly for selective growth-hormone release and for signals involved in pituitary and digestive-system activity.
Why do researchers study Ipamorelin?
Growth-hormone release
Research into signals that encourage the pituitary gland to release growth hormone.
Ghrelin receptor
Studies of the receptor shared by ghrelin and synthetic growth-hormone secretagogues.
Hormone selectivity
Research comparing GH release with effects on cortisol and other pituitary hormones.
Digestive movement
Experimental studies of stomach emptying and intestinal movement after surgery.
What is Ipamorelin?
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide, meaning it is built from five amino-acid components. It belongs to the growth-hormone secretagogue family.
It activates the GHSR-1a receptor, commonly called the ghrelin receptor, and was developed to produce a more selective growth-hormone signal than earlier secretagogues.
Understanding the biological signal
The ghrelin receptor helps connect signals from the digestive system, brain and pituitary gland. Activating it can influence both hormone release and digestive movement.
Ipamorelin is especially useful for research comparing these receptor effects while measuring how selectively the pituitary releases growth hormone.
What have studies found?
Selective release of growth hormone
The original characterization found strong growth-hormone release with comparatively little stimulation of ACTH or cortisol, establishing ipamorelin as a selective secretagogue.
Stomach emptying after surgery
In a rat model of postoperative digestive slowing, ipamorelin accelerated stomach emptying and restored contraction responses in stomach tissue.
Movement through the intestine
Repeated dosing in a rodent surgical model increased intestinal output and supported the return of digestive movement.
Postoperative bowel recovery research
Ipamorelin progressed into a controlled proof-of-concept study in people after bowel surgery, providing human pharmacology and safety data for this research pathway.

Product details at a glance
01Research areas⌄
Ipamorelin is studied in connection with selective growth-hormone release, ghrelin-receptor signalling and digestive movement.
02What the package contains⌄
One sealed laboratory vial containing 10 mg of freeze-dried Ipamorelin material, according to the selected product variant.
03Storage of the freeze-dried product⌄
Keep the sealed freeze-dried vial at −20 °C, dry and protected from light. Let the closed vial reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation.
04Handling a prepared laboratory solution⌄
After preparation with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated at 2–8 °C and protected from light. Do not freeze; minimize repeated warming and cooling.
05Why the vial can look almost empty⌄
10 mg is a small mass. After freeze-drying, the material can form a thin layer or compact deposit at the bottom of the vial and may appear smaller than expected.
Match the report to the vial
Available analytical results are organized by product and batch. Always compare the batch identifier in the report with the identifier on the vial label.
For laboratory and analytical research only. Not for human or veterinary use.
